synopsis: Dresden Kelly receives a call from the police commissioner. Dr. Nemesis has been found and needs to be taken into custody. A quick change and Dresden is flying across the city as UltraGirl!

UltraGirl confronts Dr. Nemesis but is quickly subdued when the villain is able to take UltraGirl’s power belt! Dr. Nemesis binds and gags the helpless heroine to a chair, taunting her while she is helpless to defend herself. He takes UltraGirl for a ride across town and ties her spreadeagle to the ground at his remote hideout.

Meanwhile, a storm approaches and UltraGirl senses that something is not right. Dr. Nemesis, sensing the danger, reluctantly frees UltraGirl and gives her power belt back to see if she can stop the energy wave coming to destroy Earth.

The skies go red, the storm expands, and the universe goes white as Earth HR is no more …

To be continued …

fun facts: The title of this episode is taken from the DC Comics’ maxi-series Crisis on Infinite Earths issue #3 published in June 1985.

Dresden first appeared as UltraGirl in a custom video produced by ShinyBound released on 1/2/2022. She hadn’t appeared since then and I had an opportunity to have her join the Crisis storyline when HollyRope scheduled a shoot with her.

When the outdoor scene was shot, it actually did get windy outside. This enabled the video to make it seem like the energy wave storm was approaching without adding sound effects.

Originally, this video was listed as part of the prelude to Ultraverse Crisis. But, since the video closes with red skies and the destruction of Earth HR, I renumbered it as Ultraverse Crisis episode 0.2, occurring at the same time as Zero Hour.
